Developed by CEC Europe Ltd, this full systems development and project management assessment service offers organisations a cost-effective Benchmark of the IS and IT function, against which future comparisons can be made.  The assessment can provide an essential starting point to improve the systems development processes and capability of an organisation.

The assessment method is based upon the guidelines of the Software Engineering Institute’s Maturity Model and the BSI PD0015:2000 self assessment code of practice. This assessment helps to identify the organisation’s strengths, weaknesses and provides recommendations for process improvement.

The assessment provides:

• business weighting to take account of impact and importance

• scoring system which takes account of process maturity, efficiency, effectiveness and quality

• detailed report giving recommendations, highlighting priorities and including graphical representation of performance

• repeatable method that can be used for accurate future comparisons to evaluate how performance has altered over time.
